A Push Press is a compound movement that works muscles in both the upper and lower parts of the body. The muscles worked include the glutes, hamstrings, pecs, triceps, deltoids, quadriceps and lower back muscles.

We will begin this exercise by taking the bar off the rack into a front rack position with the elbows in, close to the chest. We will then allow a slight bend in the knee before powerfully pushing the bar up above our head using the momentum from the legs.

We are aiming to have both our arms straight above our head and our head in a neutral position between the arms. We will then bring the bar back down, bending the knees as we do so.
