Terms of Service and Privacy Policy Updates

We’ve rewritten and redesigned our Terms & Conditions (“Terms”), Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy (collectively, “Policies”). We made these updates to provide you with more information and to support our evolving business.

These updates take effect on April 30, 2026. By continuing to use Runna, you agree to the updated Terms and Policies.

Please read the documents in full. We’ve also included a summary of some key changes below:

Terms & Conditions

  • Payments and Subscriptions: We’ve clarified the terms that apply to paid Runna subscriptions. For example, we’ve reorganized sections so that it’s easier to understand when you’ll be charged.

  • Content Posted by Users: We’ve provided additional details around how content is used by Runna. As an example, we’ve clarified that you grant us a license to display and use content uploaded to our platform. We’ve also provided additional information about how to reach us if you believe your intellectual property rights are being impacted by other users.

  • Online Store: We’ve provided further details about the terms that apply to purchases from our online store, such as our order and shipping policies. We’ve also clarified that we work with third parties such as Shopify to power our online store.

  • Legal Disputes: We’ve updated our dispute resolution provisions for users in certain countries to include binding arbitration and a class action waiver, to better standardize these practices across our group of companies.

Policies

  • Data Collection and Use: We’ve updated our policies to make it easier to understand our data practices, including what information we collect, how we use it to provide, improve, and develop features, and the types of parties we may share it with (including our parent company, Strava).

  • Legal Basis: For residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil, and other relevant jurisdictions, we’ve updated the sections detailing our lawful bases for processing your data.

  • AI Features: We've added details on how we leverage AI to keep our platform safe and secure, as well as how we use AI to personalise features. Training plans remain designed by experienced coaches using established training principles, not AI.

  • Local Privacy Laws: We updated our policies to reflect changes in the legal and regulatory landscape around the world.
