What is the Pace Insights chart?

  • The Pace Insights chart shows how your speed workouts contribute to your Pace Status.

  • For each speed session you've completed, you'll see

    • How close you were to your pace targets

    • The variance in your paces across the reps

How does it work?

  • We plot your 5 most recent eligible speed workouts. For each workout, we show the fastest and slowest rep.

  • You'll see if your fastest/slowest reps were ahead or behind the target pace, and by how much.

  • If your paces are consistent, the points will be closer together.

NOTE: We standardise paces across the reps in your workout, so you can compare reps of different speeds & distances.

'Outdated' workouts

  • You may see some 'Outdated' workouts on the chart.

  • These workouts are linked to a previous Pace Status and won’t be used to calculate your current Pace Status

Questions

Why is the workout I completed not displaying in the chart?

  • It may not be eligible. Check the ‘Ineligible workouts’ section for details.

Why is my workout outside the 'pace on point' band, even though I was within my target?

  • The Pace Status calculation is different from activity pace targets bands

  • You may receive a pace adjustment if you're consistently missing/beating your target pace, even if you're within the bands of your activity targets.

The fastest and slowest rep don't align with my activity reps

  • We ignore outlier reps that don’t look right, so your chart may not fully match the reps you completed in your workout.

Why is there only one point for a workout?

  • This happens if the workout was a either a Time Trial, or a Tempo where there's only one rep in the workout.

Are missed reps displayed on the chart?

  • No, missed/incomplete reps are not displayed on the chart.
