The butterfly stretch is a great hip opener, especially for those who have a desk based job. This stretch will help with tightness in the hips and lower back and improve posture. Sitting on the ground with a tall posture and bend both knees out to the side so your soles of your feet are touching and out in front of you. By engaging your core, it will help keep a strong and tall posture. Slowly tilt forward and push your knees down towards the floor to open up the hips and stretch out the groin and inner thighs. It is ok if your knees don't lower much towards the ground. Don't force it, your flexibility will improve over time! Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds.
