When syncing your workouts from Runna to Strava, you have the option to include media (like the progress graph of your plan or highlight images) automatically. If you'd rather keep things simple or want to skip the extras, you can manage your preferences below.

Disabling Automatic Media Uploads

To prevent workout highlight and graph images from syncing to Strava automatically:

  1. Open the Runna app.

  2. Go to the Plan tab.

  3. Select Connected Apps.

  4. Tap Strava.

  5. Find Add Image to Synced Workouts and toggle it OFF.

That’s it! Once turned off, images will no longer be automatically added to your Strava uploads.

Can’t see this setting?

If you don’t see the Add Image to Synced Workouts option, your app may need an update:

  1. Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

  2. Search for Runna.

  3. Tap Update to install the latest version.

Once updated, you’ll be able to manage this setting easily.

Title and Description Syncing to Strava

As of June 2025, titles and descriptions like “with Runna ✅” are automatically added when workouts sync from Runna to Strava. Currently, there isn’t a way to turn this off directly in the app.

However, there is a workaround for Garmin users:

  1. Record your run on your Garmin device as usual.

  2. Make sure Garmin Connect is synced to Strava (More > Settings > Connected Apps > Strava).

Due to how Garmin files work, these activities won’t include any Runna titles or descriptions when they sync to Strava.

Re-enabling Image Uploads to Strava

No problem! If you want to re-enable image uploads, simply go to:

Connected Apps > Strava and toggle Add Image to Synced Workouts back ON.
