I'm having issues syncing my Garmin, what should I do?

Please make sure you have read our support article on How to use your Garmin watch with Runna and get the most out of it before diagnosing sync issues.

Pairing your Garmin

If you've tried pairing your Garmin watch but your workouts aren't showing up in your Garmin Connect app (under More > Training > Workouts), try the following steps:

  1. Check you're signed in on the same Garmin account that you paired your Runna plan with - this sounds obvious but it's a problem we regularly encounter! If you realise you've paired your workouts to the wrong account, just get in touch with us and we can unlink your accounts for you

  2. Head to your Connect app, click on More > Training > Workouts and then pull down on the screen to refresh your workouts

  3. If these steps don't work, just reach out to us in-app and we'll help get you set up!

Workouts stopped syncing

If your workouts have stopped syncing to your Garmin account (provided you're signed up to Premium), please try tapping on Connected Apps and turning off and on the Garmin connection. This should fix it - if not please get in touch and let us know

Watch has stopped syncing

Sometimes your Garmin watch will stop syncing with your mobile phone which in turn will stop syncing up the latest workout to your watch. When this happens please open the Garmin Connect Mobile App and click on the Sync icon in the top right. This will re-sync all your latest workouts to your watch.

Other issues

If you have any other issues using your Garmin watch with your Runna plan then don’t hesitate to contact us. If it’s a problem using your watch, including technical issues, we’ll try and help as much as we can, but you may be required to contact Garmin directly to get support.
