We try and use as many workouts as possible to analyse your performance in Pace Insights. We look at all planned workouts that are:
Intervals
Tempos
Time Trials
However there are some times where we're unable to analyse a workout, and it won't be used to calculate a Pace Status. These are displayed in the 'Incompatible Workouts' section in Pace Insights.
β
Here are some tips on what to do if you've received some incompatible workouts:
Reason | Why you're receiving this | What you can do |
Manually linked workout | The workout was recorded as a free run and manually linked after completing | Start your workout directly from your phone, the Runna app on your Apple Watch, or through the workout sent from Runna to your Garmin, COROS, or Suunto device, rather than manually linking an activity to a workout. |
Workout not in your plan | We can see a workout, but it isn't included in your plan. This could be from an old plan, or be an instant workout | Just keep doing the workouts in your plan. All your planned workouts that are recorded directly through your device will be analysed by Pace Insights. |
Workout incomplete | The workout distances are significantly different from the planned distance | When doing future workouts, keep following the workout plan as closely as possible |
Inconsistent data | We've detected inconsistent data in your workout | When doing future workouts, keep following the workout plan as closely as possible. |
Strava activity | Activity was recorded on Strava only | Start your workout directly from your phone, the Runna app on your Apple Watch, or through the workout sent from Runna to your Garmin, COROS, or Suunto device, rather than directly from Strava. |
Not all reps completed | For this workout, it appears that not all reps were completed | When doing future workouts, keep following the workout plan as closely as possible |
No pace targets detected | The workout has been completed, but we can't detect any Pace Targets in the workout. | Ensure that Pace Targets are turned on by going to Today Tab > Profile Pic (top-left) > Workout Settings > Pace Targets > ON.
If you have a Garmin watch, make sure auto-lap is turned off (Garmin Connect > Watch Face (top-right) > Watch name > Activities & Apps > Run > Laps > Auto Lap > Off). |
No valid reps | We can't detect any valid reps in the workout | When doing future workouts, keep following the workout plan as closely as possible. |
Technical error | There's a technical error which has meant we've been unable to process the activity | If you're receiving this across multiple workouts, get in touch with the team who will help support this |
