Signing Up or Logging In to Runna with Your Strava Account

Understand how the personalized Strava login option works in Runna!

If you have the Strava app installed and logged in on your device, the Runna app may show a personalized sign-up or login option when you open it. This makes it quicker to get started by using basic information from your Strava account.

This feature is currently in a testing phase and may not be available to all users or devices.

If you see “Continue with your Strava account as [Name]”

When you open Runna, you may see a Continue with your Strava account button.

This option uses basic profile information from your Strava account to personalize the Runna sign-up or login screen. To log in or sign up using these credentials, tap Continue with your Strava account.

What information is displayed

If available, the screen may show:

  • Your name

  • Your Strava profile photo (if available)

  • A partially hidden email address (for example: a****b@g***l.com)

If you use Apple’s Hide My Email feature, your email may appear like this:

3******k@p***********.*******.com

You can check which email address is associated with your account in your Strava settings. If this information isn’t available, you’ll see the standard sign-up and login options instead.

Using a different email address

If your Runna and Strava accounts use different email addresses, you can still log in another way.

Tap Log in or sign up a different way below the Continue as [Name] button to use an alternative login method.

FAQ

Why don’t I see the personalized option?

The personalized login option only appears when the Strava app is installed and logged in on your device. If you log out of Strava or uninstall the app, Runna will show the standard sign-up and login options.

Why does the information look outdated?

Runna reads basic profile information from the Strava app on your device. If the information looks outdated, open the Strava app and make sure you’re logged in to refresh the data.
