If you’re having trouble syncing your activities to Strava, please try the steps below to diagnose and resolve the issue:

Incorrect Strava account connected

A common cause of syncing issues is having the wrong Strava account connected to Runna. This can happen if you use a social login option (such as Facebook or Google), as Strava may create a new account instead of linking to your existing one.

If Runna shows that an activity has synced to Strava but you can’t see it in your Strava account, this is probably why.

How to fix it:

  • Go to Runna → Profile → Connected Apps & Devices

  • Disconnect Strava

  • Reconnect and make sure you sign in using the details for your active Strava account

Strava ID mismatch error

This usually means your Runna account is connected to a different Strava account than the one you’re trying to log in with. Please double-check your Strava login details and try again.

Strava authentication issues

Occasionally, the connection used to sync activities with Strava can become invalid and needs refreshing.

How to fix it:

  • Go to Runna → Profile → Connected Apps & Watches

  • Toggle the Strava connection OFF, then ON again

  • Sign in and re-authorise the connection

Once reconnected, you should be able to manually sync activities to Strava using the Sync Run button on the Activities tab in Runna.

I signed up to Runna with Strava but my workouts aren't syncing

  1. Check Strava permissions. Make sure Runna has permission to sync activities to your Strava account:

    • Go to Strava.com and log in.

    • Click your profile picture (top right) → SettingsMy AppsRunna and make sure Runna has permission to:

      • View your activity data

      • Upload activities

If Runna isn’t listed, or the permissions look incorrect: Remove Runna from Strava’s connected apps:

    • Open the Runna appProfile → Connected Apps & Devices.

    • Reconnect Strava and re-authorise when prompted.

  2. Confirm you’re using the correct Strava login
Double-check that the Strava account you’re logged into is the one you want your workouts to sync to.

  3. Log out and back in
If you’ve signed up with the correct Strava details, try logging out of the Runna app and logging back in again to reset the connection.

If the issue persists

  • If you’ve used Runna before: Complete the reset password flow so you can log in without Strava, then go to Runna → Profile → Connected Apps & Devices and disconnect and reconnect Strava.

  • If you’re a brand-new user: Log out of (or delete) your Runna account and sign back in using the correct Strava login details.
